Who needs SLG Training?

SLG training is a legal requirement of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction Regulations) 2006 Reg. 97, If your work involves working on roads, near roads, on pavements, footpaths or any activities that may interfere with vehicular or pedestrian traffic.HSS can deliver this Signing Lighting and Guarding training to you, whether you are an individual or have a group of trainees.

Course Objectives:

Candidates who successfully complete this course will be qualified to set up,
maintain, modify and remove temporary traffic measures around roadworks and
manage the safe flow of traffic through roadworks. Candidates will also be able
to interpret Traffic Management Plans, in accordance with Chapter 8 of the
Traffic Signs Manual.

Certification:

On successful completion of this course, a FAS CSCS card for
Signing, Lighting and Guarding at Roadworks will be issued, as well as FETAC Level 5 certification.
