Why You Need PSDP – The Legislation

The following data is quoted from the Construction Regulations 2006, S.I. No 504.

• Regulation 6: Project Supervisor Design Process.
  • Client Must appoint Project Supervisor Design Process & Project Supervisor Construction Stage
  • Client Must obtain written confirmation of acceptance
• Regulation 7:
  • Client has a duty to ascertain suitability of Project Supervisor, Designer & Contractors
• Regulation 8:
  • Client must keep a safety file available: Purpose-safe future maintence, demolition, construction,extension, alteration and other construction works.
• Regulation 9:
  • Client shall provide a Preliminary Safety & Health Plan to everyone tendering for the role of PSCS
• Regulation 11:
  • Project Supervisor Design Process – PSDP shall take account of the General Principles of Prevention during design & preparation of a project.
